Aya Ibrahim, Senior Economic and National Security Fellow at AI Now Institute and former senior advisor in the White House Office of Science and Technology, talks with Al Jazeera about how the “race” narrative around AI is really a race to the bottom.
“The biggest risk is not necessarily a rogue agent, but negligent humans. At the end of the day, there are humans that develop and deploy this technology. They set guard rails. They determine what the uh testing environment is. And it’s been very clear that these companies have been fairly lax with the environments that they are deploying these agents and and these models and systems on.”
