Leevi serves as an EU Policy Fellow at the AI Now Institute and as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Amsterdam. In these roles, he delves into the governance of artificial intelligence, with a focus on regulatory initiatives, competition law, and emerging European digital industrial policy. His work has appeared on news outlets such as Bloomberg and Politico and he has delivered presentations and talks on these themes in European Parliament and national parliaments, expert professional communities and policy events around Europe.

Previously, as a Policy Advisor at the European Parliament, Leevi worked in the legislative processes of key digital regulations, including the Digital Markets Act (DMA), the Digital Services Act (DSA), the Data Act, and the Artificial Intelligence Act. He had leading role in key technical negotiations, and advised a Vice-Chair in the Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence in a Digital Age (AIDA).
