Dr. Sarah Myers West has over a decade of experience working at the intersection of technology, labor and platform accountability.
An award-winning author and one of the creators of the Santa Clara Principles, her research examines the history and political economy of the tech industry. She testified before the NYC City Council and has been invited to present her research at venues such as the National Science Policy Network, Internet Governance Forum, and National Human Genome Research Institute, among others. Her work is highlighted in over a dozen academic publications, and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, PBS, CBS, the Associated Press, and Motherboard. She received her doctoral degree from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California and holds Masters Degrees in Communication and Public Diplomacy.
